This year, DEP awarded more than $980,000 to 139 small businesses.“Improving energy efficiency helps small businesses and helps improve quality of life for all residents,” Governor Tom Wolf said. “These grants will help small businesses, improve the environment and grow the economy.”Pennsylvania’s Small Business Advantage Grant Program, funded through the Hazardous Sites Cleanup Act, helps businesses with 100 or fewer employees. It provides 50 percent matching reimbursement grants of up to $9,500 to implement projects that will save 25 percent annually in pollution-prevention or energy-related costs. The grants will create more than $2.5 million in private-sector investment in small businesses.“Funding projects like these not only improves the environment, it helps small businesses become more efficient,” Acting DEP Secretary John Quigley said. “I am pleased to support worthwhile projects that make our air cleaner while making our economy stronger.”Examples of eligible projects include high-efficiency HVAC and insulation upgrades, high-efficiency lighting to save energy, installation of energy-efficient heat pumps and new auxiliary power units that help large trucks reduce time spent with idling engines.Since 2004, the program has awarded nearly $9.5 million to 1,915 small businesses statewide. For more information about how the DEP supports small businesses or about future grant opportunities, contact DEP’s Office of the Small Business Ombudsman at 717-772-8909 or firstname.lastname@example.org.Below is the list of grant awards, organized by county. TWO of the best teams in the Georgetown Zone are expected to battle this evening in the final of the 2017 Limacol round robin/knockout football tournament at the GFC ground. Both teams, the Western Tigers FC and the Guyana Police Force are unbeaten in the tournament so far but that streak will end this evening for one of them. The Police side have so far been reliant on their speed in attack and physicality in defence, a large part of the latter coming from their two centre backs who sweep and cover effectively.Their height as well makes them sturdier defenders than most and their ability in the air has deterred teams in the past from using that aerial method for protracted periods of play.Western Tigers’ Devon Millington scored a hat- trick in the last game, can he repeat for the title? But the Western Tigers have somewhat of an ability to get in even behind the sturdiest of defences, albeit in style. Their ability to produce just the right touches needed in the second and final thirds of the pitch have amounted to being a team who can pounce at any time. However, defence is where their weakness lies and considering that their back three are often left exposed after a counter, Police could have their way in.However, what the Western side have going for them is their set pieces. Devon Millington has shown that he can find the back of the net more than once from set pieces and the Police need to be wary of that. Both teams love to play down the flanks with balls coming into the box though Western have shown the ability to produce build-up plays in the centre of the park.Meanwhile, Petra co-Director Troy Mendonca believes that the tournament format has ensured that teams play to the best of their abilities, adding that “what we have seen is close, competitive action through the tournament”.Nonetheless, fans should get their seats early as the earlier third-place playoff between Santos and Winners Connection is sure to whet the appetite of those football-hungry fans. With a creative midfield, Santos have been consistently producing the goods but it is left to be seen how they deal with the more seasoned and intimidating Winners Connection side.Game time is 18:30hrs.
