Youngest woman mountaineer meets women cops at IGI

first_imgSheetal Raj, the youngest woman mountaineer visited IGI airport unit on Wednesday. She met the women police officers working in this unit and boost their morale by sharing her experiences of scaling the highest peaks. Deputy Commissioner of Police (IGI) Sanjay Bhatia said all the present women officers welcomed her and she was presented a souvenir by the IGI Airport Unit for her outstanding achievement. “She spoke about struggles in her life and advised few tips to overcome the difficulties and problems and achieve greater heights. She encouraged staff to encourage their children to accomplish high goals in life,” added DCP IGI. Sheetal Raj from Uttarakhand has become the youngest girl from the state to climb Mount Everest. The 22 year old, who hails from the Salmoda village in Pithoragarh district has managed to create history. “Sheetal was a part of an expedition called ‘Climbing Beyond the Summit, Everest Expedition 2019.’ Scaling the highest peak in the world was the second grand achievement for her,” added DCP IGI.last_img read more
