Pakistan vs England: Imam-ul-Haq escapes serious injury after being hit by a Mark Wood ball

first_imgPakistan’s World Cup-bound batsman Imam-ul-Haq on Friday suffered a nasty looking elbow injury during the 4th ODI against England at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.Imam was taken to hospital after the left-handed batsman was struck on elbow off Mark Wood’s short delivery.The incident happened during the 4th over of the series-deciding match when Imam-ul-Haq attempted to pull Mark Woods’s 89 mph delivery but missed it to get a blow on his left elbow.Imam grimaced in pain and immedialtey fell to the ground after the accident and was treated for some minutes by physios. The batsman was then adviced to retire hurt from the game and was taken to hospital for X-rays.The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) later updated on Imam’s injury and said that the 23-year-old was safe from any fractures.Imam injury updateImam ul Haq taken to hospital for Xray.
